Please pay towards the gates

This project will raise the price on your property by approx. Thb 100.000-1.000.000. The village will look smarter, it will also raise security. The village will be seen by other people passing by (most people don’t know that Royal Park Village even exists). We have the best location in Jomtien, there are villages in bad locations that are paying 3 times more maintenance fee than us and with house price double or more, the only difference is they have nice entrance gates.

Location of the gates and wall to be built

We have raised about Thb 500.000

We have raised about Thb 500.000 (including Ms Nippans contribution) so far for the 3 gates, wall and toilets as shown on the map, this will be the last project to raise money for improvements, outside the yearly maintenance fee (all projects in the future will be financed through the yearly maintenance fee).

Could we, with respect, ask you to pay towards the building of the gates FIRSTLY and the maintenance fee as soon as can afford it. As you know we would wish start work towards making the village beautiful and more secure AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

The total project will cost about Thb 600.000 totally

The total project will cost about Thb 600.000 totally. Already more then 50% of the residents are giving towards this project. Some people who can afford it, have given more than others. On many houses we have problem getting a hold of the owners (we don’t have phone numbers and they are not here). So I hope and believe that we will reach 90-95% of the village paying towards the project.

There’s only 2 % said they will not consider helping towards this project.

There’s only 2 % said they will not consider helping towards this project. Hopefully, when they see the vast improvements this makes to the village we hope they will re-consider.

Give something towards this project

Are you one the houses we have not been able to reach. Please show your solidarity towards the fellow residents and give something towards this project. Normally each house has given Thb 10.000 but any contribution is welcome. Be part of the village.

All accounts for the project

All accounts for the project will be shown on www.royalparkjomtien.co.uk can also be sent by e-mail or printed letter for those who wish. If there is money left over we will return by % Thb given to those who have contributed towards the project.

For the people that already agreed to give money:

House break in early evening

House 315/236 was broken into Wednesday 28th January 2009 early evening. The security was not on the gate at the time of the break in and the barrier was up allowing anyone and everyone onto the village.

That area of the village hasn’t got a video camera as none of the residents requested one. The aircon shop on the corner of the village of that area has a camera and they were asked by local residents for the video footage to see if the criminal had been recorded.

If a camera had been there we would have had it recorded.

Royal Park Jomtien Residents association

Royal Park Jomtien Residents association

Peter Ring a member of the Royal Park village would like to set up a Residents association for the Royal Park Village.

The first meeting will be held on Saturday 14th Febuary 2009 at house 315/294 Soi 4 at 11am
We hope that people from different areas of the village join and attend the meeting so the overall needs of the village are understood.

If you would like to attend the meeting please call Peter Ring on 086 1441796

New Construction

After months of rumours regarding a condo to be built at the swimming pool entrance it seems that work started today.

It would be nice if “management” would keep the residents informed on this matter but we all know their indifference. Lacking that does anyone else know what is the plan?

No doubt we can now look forward to months of disruption, dust, noise and a stream of workers entering the swimming pool to use the toilets.

Have a nice day.

Peter

Royal Park Entrance gates

For the last twelve months there has been a lot of talk about placing real security gates on all 3 entrances of the village.

Niclas a Royal Park resident from Soi 4 is presently running this project which includes speaking with residents to explain how the security gates will work and raising the money to pay for the project.

The Project will include

  • 3 New security gates and guard houses.
  • A wall to be built opposite houses 270, 271, 266. Presently this area there is no wall or barrier and people can enter the village from Thepprasit road.
  • A Toilet for the Security staff

7 – eleven gate

This gate will be moved from soi 4 about 30 meters nearer the 7 – eleven. A guard house will also be built here.

The other two gates will be placed in the position the barriers are now. All three gates will be electronic automatic opening and card passes will be given to all residents.

At this time, many residents are meeting to talk about ways in which to make the village more secure and a full residents meeting will be called when more information is available.
Joe a Royal Park resident has been kind to help get one price for the work and Niclas is getting other prices.

Please help raise the money to finalise the village.

Benefits to you

  • This will increase the value of your home by at least 200,000 Baht
  • The Royal Park Village will become an exclusive village
  • The village will be safer with less crime
  • Keep away stray dogs from the village
  • Stop through traffic
  • Reduce the amount of parking on the village

Would you like to share a handy man

Would you like to share a handy man – woman (gardener and painter) ?

Many of us on the village use the service of a local company to water and cut our gardens, and to paint our homes. This works out expensive.

If 8 – 10 of us got together we could share the use of a full time person that we pay, perhaps paying them 8,000 – 10,000 Baht a month for 6 days a week.

This would give each of us 6 hours a week with a person to do small odd jobs and maintenance on and around our homes.

That could be divided down to

1 hour a day
Or 2 half days a week

Benefits for sharing a worker

Cost maybe as little as 1,000 – 1,500 Baht a month per home

  • Garden Watered
  • Garden Cut and Maintained
  • Walls Painted
  • Gates Painted
  • House kept in keep while you are away
  • We could arrange to tidy un kept areas of the village.

Because the person is on the Village full time, we will know that the work is being carried out.

Cleaner

We could also share the services of a full time cleaner – if you are interested in a cleaner or maintenance person please let me know, send me an email, leave a comment or give me a call.
