Royal Park Village Jomtien CCTV Camera System

As you know we are installing a CCTV camera system on the Royal Park village
One of the residents James has been very kind and has fully enabled this project by donating two high quality cameras and pc card recording hardware (at the cost of 2000$. The system needs further hard ware to make the project a reality.
A Big thank you to James for donating 2000$ worth of hardware to the village
Richard and Niclas are also donating money to bring all the hardware together and make it work. (Separate to the cameras.)
The village will then have two cameras on the west and north gate. The system will have the ability to hold up to 32 cameras
Cameras throughout the village
Many residents have so far asked for a camera to be fitted in their area. The village has an opportunity to have a professional cctv system that will be the envy of every village in the area at a fraction of the true cost.

Richard
I would like to comtribute. Is there a way of apportioning cost? If not put me down for 10,000 Baht.
What details are there about the system – where will a camera be relative to my house? How are the images monitored? etc…………

Hi Terry
To confirm, the cameras will be positioned close to any person paying for the camera, so in your case the camera will be in the best location for your home.
The feed will go back to Niclass house where it will be recorded. (not viewed). Along with half of the cameras on the village.
There will be two recording units, one with Richard Soi 3 and one with Niclass soi4, then Niclass and Richards house will net work to back up each other’s recordings, that way if Niclass system is stolen, we will have the recording of who did it and when.
Lastly and importantly (anyone paying for a camera) will be able if they wish to have that feed into their own home as well as being fed back to the recording station, that way your area will always be recorded. And you will be able to see what is going on out site your home, or see who is at your gate etc… (if you would like this I can explain fully how this would work)
About money, the reality is some people on the village are saying, we don’t need cameras, and some people have said they don’t want them as they bring bar girls back and don’t wish for anyone to see them on the village with a bar girl…… so they are happy to walk on a public road with a bargirl, but not happy for us to record a our shared public area – which they can be seen anyway (ironic).
So it is up to us in each area, if people around you require a camera you could split the costs.
I am on soi 3 and non of the other houses have said they will share the cost, so the cost of soi 3 is down to me. Camera cable etc.
At some stage it would be a good idea for Niclass and I to meet up with you and walk around your area picking the best location for your camera…
