Swimming pool security
Hi All,
In recent weeks it has become apparent that outsiders are using the common swimming pool to an increasing extent, also recently there was a rowdy drinking session by local youths at night.
Due to the inability of our guards to control access may I propose we adopt a card entry system ,(to the pool)cost could be covered by sale of the cards.
Any comment Richard?
Cheers. Peter Herrett

Hi Peter
the securing of the swimming pool is a topic that keeps comming up.
Fred, Svian, James, Wille, Bob, Skip (to name a few ) would like to see a change in the way the swimming pool is accessed,
Fred who lives nearest the swimming pool has to listen to people drinking and partying at the pool as late 10pm – 1am. Then we are left with the mess.
We can fit another card system the same as on the door. Any card a resident would have will open both the village door and pool door. So residents wouldnt need any more cards etc and it would keep the system simple to use. With no extra cost forced upon any resident.
As i have explained the money that is being collected this year will only cover the costs incurred by the village and will give a budget for any other items.
If we fit this our selves, it will save money and we will get a better job done, the cost will be about 8,000 baht. If a hand full of us donate a 1000 baht, this can be in place within 10 days or so.
This is our village, run by the residents and as we now know paid by the residents. If we want it, can pay for it, we can have it. I am happy to help fit and pay for any good idea given by any and every resident of our community.

I see that a lock is now fitted to the communal swimming pool gate which is a great improvement. Many thanks Richard and much appreciated.
